I have very large tori in the bottom of my mouth which my oral surgeon wants to remove as pieces keep breaking off and erupting through the gum. Sometimes they get infected, abcess and require a root canal. None of the doctors, dentists or oral surgeons that I have seen have ever seen or heard of this problem. Usually the pieces are slivers or up to the size of a grape seed but the last piece was about the size and shape of a small pea cut in half. In anyone has come across this condition before or knows the cause I would appreciate a reply.
