: I'm a permanent member of the "back problem" page, but I am 30 years old with 6 root canals and cavities appearing every 3 mos. I floss, mouth wash, brush, do all the right things but my teeth are slowly deteriorating. I had a root canal done 5 mos ago, and the tooth just broke. Since my teethe are sensitive I do not eat any hard foods so I dont know how this happened. Neither does my dentist. Anyway, to the point, my dentist talked with my primary care because he suspects that I might have some kind of arthitis. I have degenerative disc disease on many levels of my spine, for reasons unknown. I've seen many doctors and they are all confused why I have the spine of a 70year old. My dentist and doctor decided I should have a bone density test. Does any one in here know what I am talking about, because I have no clue what I'm talking about? Have you ever heard of antyhing like this before? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Maria (Bos)
I can only comment on why your tooth broke after you had a RCT and that is because when you have a RCT done it saves the tooth but at the same time weakens it as weel. 90 percent of all RCT teeth require a crown to protect the tooth. Your dentist know this or at least he should and should have told you this.I am sorry for your troubles with the bone disease I think it could be all related somehow though.i hope you have been to a specialist. good luck to you !!!
