I think I am developing dry socket in a lower molar I had removed 3 days ago. How humane is the treatment for this condition? Reason I ask is that the oral surgeon did not use enough numbing and no nitrous oxide which was very traumatic as well as painful for me. If I do need this treatment do they charge even more money for it and do I have the option of going to a different dentist that is more compassionate to patient comfort than the barbian that put me in this situation in the first place? I would like any sedation and numbing possible if this is a standard procedure for dry socket.
