: Hi, I had a bad fall last week and my front tooth was knocked completely out. I went to my dentist the next day and he said I could either get a partial bridge or have a permanant one made but would have to crown 2 or 3 good front teeth to do that correctly. Also can do an implant but it takes months and months and may not be successful. I am so unhappy with either choice don't want to ruin all my front teeth because of this one tooth. Is there any any way out there to permanantly replace just one tooth. I am not going back to work or even out of my house until I can figure out what to do. The dentist is making a "flipper"thing for me on Monday but it is temporary and I don't want a removable partial want a permanent solution. Any help any ideas. Surely in the year 2000 there has to be a good way to replace one tooth.

Hi, guess what there is no easy fix even here in the year 2000, the only solution left is a full denture, and only an upper works out well. I would not wish that on anyone except as a last resort, only if a lot of the others are on there way out. The only "good" fix is a permanent bridge, lots of bucks and some daily maintaince involved, sorry.
(I had the same problem when I was 20, the other front teeth were not good enough to support a bridge, and a lot of the back ones were missing, so I ended up with a upper plate.)
