I have a lower molar with a filling that's been hurting me for a while. I've been to 2 dentists and they told me after x-rays were taken that the filling isn't near the nerve and that it is all because of the new bridge I got on the other side that might've changed the postion of the muscles or something like that. They both said the muscles were sore and that I need a night guard cuz i might be grinding too. They also checked for cracks and found nothing.
Although I considered what they said good news, I still doubt you can get that kind of pain from muscles or a bite problem. It's not really dull and I can feel it in the tooth. The pain comes and goes and sometimes it's sensitive to cold. Both docotrs said they can't do anything because everyting looks fine in the x-rays. I still have a medicated filling which isn't really helping. Please tell me what to do. And oh yeah, I do grinde.
p.s. One doctor told me that my the mollar had 3 roots instead of 2 and its kinda weird!! How come the other dentist didn't notice that?? and is that a normal thing or would it be the cause of the problem??
