: Recently I had 4 teeth pulled. I had my top 2 wisdom teeth pulled, and also the molar next to the top wisdom teeth pulled on each side. The day after I had my teeth pulled, I noticed a "tooth-like" thing still in my mouth. My dentist told me that I shouldn't worry that it's just a bone shifting into the place of where my tooth was. Is this correct. Also when I eat, I get small food such as rice and other chewed up food stuck in the places where my teeth were. It hurts to pull it out, but if I rinse with warm water, that doesn't seem to work either. Any sugestions on this as well as the info that my dentist told me???
If you get a syringe from the drug store and fill it with water ,taking the needle off ,of course..Then squirt the water into the site of the extratcions, that should rinse out the food particles for you. However dont do this unless its been at least1 week from the date of the extractions,if you do you will rinse out the blood clots then you will have a dry socket.Try and stay away from small food particles until the site completly heals.
