: : On OCt 12, 2000 I had all but 3 upper teeth pulled in preparation for Mandibular advancement surgery on 11-30-2000. The surgery was attempted on 11-30-2000 but had to be aborted after 1200 ml blood loss. I was (and am planning to have implants (at least 2 on the lower and 1 on the upper) done next year. The oral surgeon would like to try again later, but I am not sure I want to go that route again. Pain and swelling is extreme. My general dentist thinks that my dentures will not function well as my lower jaw is to far back. I am geting tired of living out a food procesor (right now I am living on thin liquids only and can only open my mouth about an inch). What are my options? ANy suggestions?

: Follow up- Recieved a report from the "T

: oothmaker". No I was not and am not on any blood thinner. Oral Surgeon recomends a retry later. My Mandible is to far back and getting good denture occlusion will be very hard.
