three days ago had pain in a root canaled and capped tooth.I went to my regular dentist who did the tooth and his x-ray showed a infection below the tooth. I went to a oral surgeon who gave me a big dose of amoxiciiin and a RX for percerset and augmentin.After a night the pain went away and is gone for a day now. Did the antibiotic cure this infection for good? Or will it resuface in the future? The oral surgeon wants to do a apico and says it's my call on whether to go ahead or not.He couldn't/wouldn't say if the pain will ever come back.
