:I have had major problems after having a root canal. Please read my post on the new Heathboards.com under Dental problems listed under Jezy. I too had a perfectly good tooth whittled down to nothing and ended up getting it root cananled. THis tooth still troubles me 1 year later and my health has been affected as well. Good Luck! After putting it off for 5 years, I finally went in to get a bridge for a missing top molar. My dentist drilled down both teeth on either side of the missing tooth and put in the temporary bridge. Within 2 days, I had severe pain in one of the drilled down teeth. I went back to the dentist and he took an x ray. He said it looked fine but said he could do a root canal and that would definitely get rid of any pain. So, I let him do the root canal. Well, I have had nothing but pain since then. I now have sensitivity to hot and cold in the tooth that had the root canal and also a slight throbbing and almost constant pain and soreness. I have taken 2 courses of Keflex and am now on my 2nd course of Clindamycin. My dentist took another x ray and said the root canal looks perfect. What could be the problem with this tooth? I never had a problem with it until it was drilled down for the bridge. I am so upset that I sacrificed a perfectly good tooth for this bridge. Please help!
: I am going out of my mind.
