hi. thanks for responding. i am in a fair amount of pain still. i've been rinsing with salt water and taking motrin. (the painkillers made me sick). I am having a hard time concentrating on anything and have been getting really upset/emotional. is this normal? what are dry sockets? what do they feel like? ive tried figuring it out from other peoples questions but i still dont get it. how will i know when it is a dry socket and not just ordinary pain? my throat is starting to hurt a little. like a sore throat. and i think i feel a thread from my stitches hanging down my throat but im not sure. i looked in there and everything looks the same as it did earlier today. should i call my oral surgeon? am i supposed to be in this much pain on the third day? my head hurts too.
