HI Stephanie :)
Well, I can only tell you from my experiance, but everyone is different when it comes to the wisdom teeth.
On my third day I still had some "throbbing" pain. Try using a heating pad on your jaw, that should help. You also have to think that I was still on Tylonal 3 so that could have helped my pain and why you would be feeling more pain. Unless of course you are in a LOT of pain,a friend told me that she had a dry socket it was totally different than the regular pain, and it would be so much pain you would KNOW to go back into the surgeon.
I was really emotional also! I have no idea why I was,so thats probably nothing to worry about. :) Headaches and sore throats are also common.
I think you should call your oral surgeon if you are in a lot of pain, it could only help things.:) And do you have a follow-up appointment?
Take care
