I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed on Dec 8 and my mouth is still hurting me off and on. It has been a week since I had mine removed and I have been living on pudding, soup (broth) and ice cream. I am so hungry and I can't wait until I can eat real food. I had a dry socket and the medicine that he had to put in it tasted horrible. It tasted so bad that I don't know which is worse the bad taste or the pain. To tell you the truth I could eat more without the medicine in because with the medicine in it comes out when I am eating and makes me want to throw up. With me the pain from the dry socket was so bad that I could still feel it on 800 mg motrin and the narcotic pain killer he put me on. Maybe this will help you tell whether it is a dry socket or not. Good luck with healing and on making it back to real food.
