Richeldis is absolutely right. Some doctors are afraid that you'll get so much information on the internet... information that he/she doesn't have the time to keep us with... that you'll really learn of non-doctor things to solve your depression. Keep using the internet. The only way it deepens the depression is when you use it as a substitute for human interations. That's a problem when you live alone and isolate yourself. You have a husband and kids.... no way to isolate yourself. ;-) I am glad you're here. Julie. : To all who will answer, : I was told that the internet can cause depression and that a person who is already depressed should not be online. I was told this by a very reputable doctor and would like to know if another person has been told the same thing? Is it true ? : I am really wanting to find out the truth on this matter. I do trust the doctor at hand but with the internet being a release for me i dont see why i should be forced to give it up. My husband agrees with the doctor and yet i am only online when the kids are a sleep. : Has anyone else been in this situation and what have you done to get through it? : Thanks in Advance, : Kim
