your symptoms sound like mine, i have similar rxns to the SSRI's. remeron is the only med i've ever taken that makes me feel normal. i was on it this summer, went off it and lost the weight gained, then had to go back on due to another depressive episode. my problems with it are these: weight gain, sedation (but it helps me sleep!), and it appears i have an autoimmune response to it which frightens me. i say go for it, but keep a food journal daily. i've been taking it for 2 weeks on this 2nd try and i've been able to maintain my weight through controlling food intake and exercise (though it's a bit early to claim complete success). i think it may help you considerably, the first few days will make you woozy so try to start it on a weekend, or plan to be a little sleepy for the first few days. i take it at night because it really knocks me for a loop.
best of luck,
