There was a poster awhile back who had a great, long, post about Cognitive therapy... lots of good explanation with examples. If that person is around, maybe they'll see this and share that with you. I know some others didn't have much luck either. I don't know a lot about it myself, but from what I hear.. I like the concept. It reinforces some of the ideas I have about a different approach to healing. You're right.. understanding your behavior is one step.. but then zeroing in on what to do about that behavior is a step towards healing. I think it's important for people to understand that this approach doesn't necessarily mean any other approach is wrong or bad for them, but like you... if you seem to be spinning your wheels, it certainly doesn't hurt to try some other way to get unstuck and get moving! I hope this goes well for you! Keep us posted on any progress or setbacks! The more info people have, the more info they can use in their own situation.
