I'll let you know if I have any news. I am really frustrated now though - been through so many shrinks and all they do is give me a new diagnosis that I don't believe. I dont think i am ADD - and they want to give me adderall or other stimulants even though I am a recovering coke addict. I dont think I have PTSD. Everyone goes through trauma to some degree - but PTSD is a pretty big label to put on someone who just shows signs of irritability and instability in life. Doctors have tried to give me everything from SSRIs to mood stabilizers to benzos to older anti-depressants to stimulants....I was so overmedicated at one point that I think the medication messed me up way worse than i needed to be. Hopefully CT will be a change for the better, without the side effects of meds or the frustration of talk therapy.
I am now on celexa because the 200mg of zoloft i was on stopped working. All celexa does is make me tired. It's only my third week though so who knows. I just wish someone had the answers.

If that person is around, maybe they'll see this and share that with you. I know some others didn't have much luck either. I don't know a lot about it myself, but from what I hear.. I like the concept. It reinforces some of the ideas I have about a different approach to healing. You're right.. understanding your behavior is one step.. but then zeroing in on what to do about that behavior is a step towards healing. I think it's important for people to understand that this approach doesn't necessarily mean any other approach is wrong or bad for them, but like you... if you seem to be spinning your wheels, it certainly doesn't hurt to try some other way to get unstuck and get moving! I hope this goes well for you! Keep us posted on any progress or setbacks! The more info people have, the more info they can use in their own situation.
