Hi All !

I have met alot of wonderful people online. Of course, I do not know how they look, how they sound, what they are wearing how old they are, their accent or the color of their skin...they are just words to me. I write to them and chat with them back and forth for awhile and form an impression im my head of what they are like in real life. But are they really my friends? How can you call someone your friend when you cannot see them, touch them, go to a movie or dinner with then, dance with them, talk to them, listen to them, and be with them in the hospital, in the coffee shop, at the mall or in school?

What kind of friends are cyberfriends? It's like reading a book and calling the characters in that book your friends. The author is not your friend - he is just writing to be the character in the book. The reader is not in any relationship to the characters. It's all in the reader's mind!

Am I crazy or insightful? Please let me know your opinion on this one. Maybe we are all becoming cyber-schizophrenics..writing to each other's online personalities that are not the real thing...
