Mr. Willie is not reacting to Serzone in a typical fashion. You may want to sit down and explain to Mr Willie that although most antidepressents cause some degree of sexual dysfunction, Serzone typically does not. (Ofcourse there are always some people who react differently than the norm but you don't have to let Willy know that).

So I think that you should have hubby give the Serzone a month or 2 to see if the side effect goes away before going the Viagra route.

: See post below. My doc prescribed Serzone for a chronic pain condition for my beloved hubby. Seems that that is standard medical procedure these days.

: Well, he took himself off of it because he thought Mr. Willie wasn't as attentive as he thought he should be. I told the doc in a routine visit, and she said that it was probably only temporary and that she totally believed in a really healthy sex life for all-over health and she wanted him to take it (the Serzone). She said to send him in for samples of Viagra (and appropriate check up).

: Has anybody used this with SSRIs? We're both afraid that he'll get an erection that will last all day and get in the way of everthing else we do. I reassured him and told him to talk to the doctor, but really I'm afraid of the same thing. Frankly, I don't want to hang around in my vacation cabin all day (or weekend) waiting for a six hour erection to finally go away.
