I know that women get nervous, but there's a difference between our gender roles. Most men don't even see past a woman's looks until they have slept with her or at least obtained her approval. Women are the evaluators in the whole "dating ritual" and therefore, when a man comes off as uninteresting he doesn't stand a chance. Most men don't evaluate women on the same criteria. If a woman looks good and treats him nice, he's fine with that. It doesn't matter how confident she is. It doesn't matter if she makes him laugh. It doesn't matter if she doesn't have much to say as long as he knows she likes him. Women will say that they want a nice guy who treats them right and looks handsome, but that's not really all they want. If the guy doesn't have much to say she will assume that there is no "chemistry". If a guy doesn't make her laugh, she'll think he's "boring". All a guy needs to feel the sexual "chemistry" is a cute face and a nice body. If a woman is "fine", there's nothing she can do to destroy the "chemistry". He'll have sex with her in a second if she wants to.

I've heard many woman say that a guy was "cute" until he opened his mouth. There's no need for a woman to feel nervous if a guy goes out with you.

The difference between men and women is there role in sexuality. Women choose who they are with and men accept the offer.

The women who say that a guy was "cute" until he opened his mouth, will not sleep with that guy, while a man's desire to sleep with a woman is independent of her words or actions.
