Helene it may be time to investigate the Family and Medical Leave Act. Go to the dept of labor web site it will explain it to you and see if you are qualified. You get up to 12 weeks a year. It will save your job during the time you are off. FMLA is confidential. See if you can get SSI with it. No one needs to know any thing and won't if you don't tell them. Even bosses have only limited knowledge of your leave reasons. Also investigate the ADA americans with disabilities act they can't discriminate against you due to your illness including mental problems. they have to accomodate YOU. Call around and good luck.
