"Releasing someone from further appt.'s"? What do you mean by that, or have you heard it used by a therapist? Anyway, psychotherapy, I have found, can vary person to person. Mine started 3 yrs ago and is still going. A friend of mine started this last winter and has stopped (although, I don't agree with her terminating it). It also depends on a person's illness (depression) and the factors that add into it. I have Borderline Personality Disorder (too complicated to explain) so handling everyday things is harder for me than people who do not have it. Again, it circles back to who you are and what you need.
