I have had the OGTT several times. Every time I was told to drink the entire 10 ounce bottle. The last time I read the label, something the doctors and lab technicians seem to have never done. The label instructions-- Non pregnant adults 7.5 ounces 75 gram dose. The question I have, is a diagnosis of diabetes based on an overdose in the OGTT valid? Does the doctor have a duty to follow the test guidelines? How many thousand tests are done that do not follow guidelines for dose, but do follow results?
