: Hi Beth. You can find out a lot of info about insulin resistance by reading Protein Power by Dr. Eades or Dr. Atkins diet book. Both books are available online for less than $10. Another good source of info (but slightly more expensive) is Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution. Just curious, by why were you tested for insuline resistance? Are you overweight?

:: Well, i was tested because about a year and a half ago, i woke up with my side hurting in the middle of the night, and i've had it ever since. I have been tested for cancer, auto-immune problems, allergies, etc, and then my doctor said that something was sticking out in her mind aobut the way they said my blood cells aren't maturing, and they checked me for this, and i had it.
Yes, i'm overweight, and they said this is probally why. Thanks for your help! Beth
