: Hello all,

: My girlfriend is a diabetic and is currently having vision problems in one eye related to her diabetes. I believe it is called Diabetic Retinology but basically her right eye is severely blurred and she can see blood in her vision. Does anyone have any info on this or treatments that she can look into? She wants to do eye exercises but I don't know if this is enough. Has anyone had the misfortune of dealing with this ailment and have an info on vitamins or medication that could help? Any info would be greatly appreciated because I am very concerned about her and her vision.

: Thank you very much

Please tell her to see an opthalmologist as soon as possible! I had retinopathy in both eyes about 12 years ago. It was successfully treated with lazer treatments. It's a long process but ther results are miraculous. My sight is now 20/25. Time is of the essence. If the bleeding continues it could lead to retinal detachment and blindness. The technology is there today to take care of this so don't delay.

Good luck to her and may God bless you both.
