Hi. My name is Carmen I am 11 years old. My mom has type 2 diabetes. She is 37 years old. This disease is a big problem to her because she is a house wife and does everything in the house. She has a 16 year old son and me, an 11 year old daughter. She vacums every day, she mops the floor, she washes the windows, she does the laundry she even cleans our rooms and we dont tell her to. She feeds the cat and she cleans it's litter box. She cooks our meals too. All of this and she has Diabetes on top of that. Sometimes she suffer anxiety and can't seem to control her blood sugar, which is almost always above 140. She has trouble controling her temptations. Sometimes she feels like a building will fall on top of her at any minute. She doesn't like to relax. We want her to but all she does is clean the house. She barely eats every day. She can't eat starch, carbohidrates, or anything with sugar. And she has border line blood pressure. Imagine.. if she has high blood pressure, what will she eat? Sometimes she cries and gets really depressed and stressed out about things. I want all this to just... stop. I miss the old mom. The one who was strong and could take on and face anything. My cousins... who i havent seen for years are coming and i want to spend a lot of time with them. She feels like a tornado is coming and feels nervous and anxious. I make her nervous because I am excited. My mom says that before she would let all 4 of my cousins to stay. But she just isn't the person she used to be anymore. So we have to settle with 2. I want a cure for my mom. If someone out there reads this and is some how trying to find a cure for diabetes... please... help me. I don't want to see my mom like this anymore. If any of you can help me, email me at Skippykitty@aol.com. Help my mom and think of her. Think of all the work and all the things she faces every day.
