I wish I could make you understand fully that every piece of information my mother has clearly states that she MUST, and every other type 2 diabetic, must eat carbohydrates in large quantities. It mentions also protein and other thing to balance it out. I do not know if you are in the UK, where I am, but that is the information from the British Diabetic Association. Please take a look at their website and you will see for yourself. My mother did try to cut out carbs last week on your instruction but she felt bad, weak and very tired, going to carbs made her feel better. I just heard that carbs was bad but medical evidence shows otherwise. It has not been given to her lightly, this is the way things are. I think if people come to this board saying they have hypos and feel unwell then that is probably because they are not eating enough carbohydrates. Check it out with a doctor, do not just rely on the "advice" given on this board....no-one hear is medically trained to do that!!!
