My name is Desiree. I am 21 years old, my father is a very brittle diabetic. He has severe neuropothy,he is on dialysis treatments 3 times a week. The dialysis isn't really helping him as much as it should.I know he probably doesn't have that much longer,I know this should be easier for me because he has been sick all my life......but to be honest I am scared to death and can't really express to him how I feel.He doesn't talk about his illness and I think maybe he should.I am the oldest of three and I also think my father's illness has deeply effected my 15 year old brother.I guess I am looking for someone to talk to......someone who is going through this or another diabetic to help me talk to my father....anyone.
