I found Actos worked great as far as getting the numbers down but I put on about 15 lbs. in a short period of time. I was so uncomfortable I had my doctor take me off of it. The whole 15 lbs. seemed to be right in my midsection. However, some people have no problem with it. It seems whatever medication you take for diabetes pertains to individual reactions. What works great for some doesn't always work great for you. So it's sort of trial and error as far as how it works for you. This is strictly my opinion. I'm sure others will help you with their experiences.
