: I am wondering if my symptoms could be caused by low blood sugar. A couple of days after conducting an early morning music rehearsal at school I had a sudden
: attack of dizziness. At the end of the rehearsal I was sweating profusely and suddenly felt weak at the knees. I sat down right away and after a few minutes tried to
: do some paperwork but my eyes didn't seem to focus right. I started my next class but after a few minutes I was still feeling wobbly and I sent the students back to
: their homeroom. One of my colleagues suggested that perhaps my blood sugar was low. I ate some cookies that were in the staff room and some raisins and I felt
: better almost immediately. I had a similar experience about a year ago. Both attacks have occurred when I have been very tired. I am 49 years old and in good
: health.
The symptoms you describe are that of low blood sugar, however, if you have not been diagnosed as a diabetic, there could be other reasons.
I would suggest you make an appointment with a medical doctor to have yourself checked out.
Low blood sugar can result in a coma if it get too low. The fact that the cookies with raisins made you feel better almost immediately is another clue that your blood sugar went too low.
