: : I AM STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY MY BLOOD SUGAR RISES WHEN I DO NOT EAT. I REALIZE YOU NEED YOUR MEALS AND SNACKS BUT AT FIRST I THOUGHT MY BLOOD SUGAR WOULD REMAIN THE SAME WITHOUT BREAKFAST AND A SNACK - I FOUND OUT OTHERWISE. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY EXACTLY THIS HAPPENS?
: Sandi,
: Your liver stores Glucose. If you don`t eat, the natural production is interupted and the liver
: dumps glucose into your system. If your on meds, the insulin in your system is able to handle
: regular conversion by the the liver, but not a large influx at one time. I eat 6 small snacks a day
: 1 regular meal, I always test under 120 and my average is between 100 - 105. Hope this helps.
