If you are looking for new medical ideas other than the norm, I was just reading about a new kind of therapy called HBO or Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. It is being used in certain specialist hospitals and universities as a treatmenst for wounds in the lower extremities that haven't healed with conservative treatments. I'm not sure if it is available to everyone yet, but it's something you could look in to. Good Luck.
