Though this diet seems new and revolutionary, it is not, it was actually one of many treatments dicovered years ago in Sweden, in a experiment to determine what food products would create the lowest amounts of fats in a human system, because there are diseases which manufacture cholesterols, and diminish circulation. At any rate it is found that keeping fats from your body initiates your body's own manufacturing of fats, thus the fat and cholesterol levels in your system can be dangerous if fat is eliminated. As well, consuming sugars, including carbohydrates, will become fat is not immediately used. Your body does need blanaced nutrition however. As the previus individual stated, keepinh it simple is best. Meats, cheese, vegetables. Consuming sugars that are in fruit are not going to ruin your diet, infact are recommended in some high protein diets. As well, consuming carbs such as barley and oatmeal, can give you the vitamins you need without adding excess sugar. There are many different versions of this diet, naturally each person who writes a book, claims to be the creator. At any rate, if you are someone who can not go without carbs at all, I would suggest Suzanne Sommers. Getting Skinny on Fabulous Food, or Sommersizing. These offer a bit more complex protein recipes, for those who prefer to eat a little more gourmet, now and again. This is what I used, and I did well on the diet. It works, but I owuld also encourage a consistent exercise routine with it. I hope that gives you a little info.
