It indeed can be harder for your body to lose weight when you restrict your calories. When your body detects a drop in calories it counters by slowing your metabolism up to 20%. I had the same problem and it wasen't until I started eating smart that I began to notice a change. I have been useing a meal replacement made by Silmsense and it's eaiser to get the calories I need to maintain my lean body weight. Hope this helps and good luck.
