: Mandi, : You actually can lose weight if you drink more water. The reason this happens is because when you drink more water your body will not have the tendancy to hold water. SO the weight you lose is actually water weight. I know it sounds funny but it's true.
Water does more than just get rid of "water" weight. It also flushed FAT and toxins out of your system. The colder the water, the better because drinking cold water speeds up the metabolism.
