: I was just diagnosed with severe reflux that goes to my throat. I have been suffering with this for at least three years. I was also just diagnosed with food allergies and other allergies too. My problem now is that it feels like there is mucous in my throat all the time, escpecially after eating. I'm scared to eat anything and I even get reflux standing up.I thought acid reflux was acidic. What causes this mucous? Anyone know?
thanks for responding. I saw an allergist a few months ago and they did a skin panel on my back. that is how i was diagnosed. I rarely sneeze or cough. I also had nasal surgery done a few months ago (a broken septum) and they widened the nasal passages. I think this has something to do with how much mucous is in my throat.
