My dad (aged 69) just had this done 2 weeks ago in an emergency situation for severe hiatal hernia.
The recovery has been slower than he had expected. He's still experiencing pain despite percocet and has to sleep sitting up
because of discomfort in lying down. Also he has swelling in his feet and legs. Doc assures him everything is
going as expected. Does anyone who has had this procedure have any suggestions on
things that may have particularly helped you feel more comfortable during your recovery? What about
eating? Any hints? Thanks!
