Hi Jovita,
Have you ever tried any other remedies besides the Prilosec? If you've been taking it since '91, your body may be starting to build up a tolerance to it and it may not work as effectively anymore. There are a LOT of herbs out there that could possibly help with your problem. The only thing, however, is that you're gonna have to try and give up the coffee for at least 4 or 5 weeks to allow your stomach time to at least begin to heal. It's just like smoking and any other drug that your body is addicted to. Unfortunately, you're gonna have to go thru a period of giving it up and possibly some withdrawal symptoms. The best herbs that I've seen for stomach healing is Ginger root, aloe vera juice, L-Glutimine, and probably most important of all...DIGESTIVE ENZYMES ! I've also been treated recently for h.pylori and it's been about 3 weeks since I finished my treatment and my stomach still isn't back to normal. However, I've seen a tremendous improvement. It's difficult for the stomach to heal when we keep putting abusive substances in there (like caffeine). So please try and be strong and give your stomach some time. What other symptoms do you have? Are you nauseous at all?

I'll keep you in my prayers....good luck!

Cathy
