I have been having an abdominal ache after I have a morning bm. It's pretty intense. Feels like muscles, heat helps a *bit* but not enough.
I have an appt. with my PCP tomorrow and have been reading a LOT. I will ask for stool test for E.Coli, C-Diff Toxins A & B, Giardia (which I understand can be difficult to detect and I may have to BEG him to retest a couple of times), and I"m going to ask for Campylobacteriosis.
Assuming all these come back fine, BTW, should I ask for anything else?? Usually, he tests for Ova Parasites and Blood?
I've had no blood. And the stools are not always soft, not always hard. I'm reading about Chron's, Colitis, Celiac Sprue, IBS, IBD, on and on.
Do these conditions have specific tests that show if you definitaly have Chron's, Colitis, Celiac Sprue?? I know IBS can be a dump-all Diagnosis and I don't want to be dumped until I've exhausted any cause.
HELP! I am not sure I'm asking for the right things. I have had this problem for over a month. No foods seem to trigger it. I've been eating pretty low residue too. I've had endometriosis on the bowel before, but before I have another surgery for THAT, I'd like to rule out other stuff. I realize a colonoscopy might be ordered. WHAT THINGS DOES IT DEFINITELY SHOW????
