: I was diagnosed with Crohns in 92...I have had surgury and have been in remission for 7 years...come to my board-read my story and share yours with me...it just might help.
Sorry you've had such a hard time, and I sincerly mean that. I do know what your
feeling, and going through. Unfortunately, crohns has a mind of it's own. I was first
diagnosed in 1972.
Since; 10 surgeries, lived on prednisone to the point that it has effected my vision, my bones,
and my muscles. I spent, in the last 25 years, almost six and a half years of that time in the
hospital. When it decides to take over, it really does. Every aspect of your life.
However: At this point I know more about the disease than most of doctors
I've seen. I've learned to live with what I have, and seldom realize that there is something just
a different about me and others I know with Crohns. One thing I know more about than the
average person in the city is the locations of almost every restroom. So---- Hang in there.
