: I'm 28 years old and am having gallbladder surgery Monday morning. The doctor says I have gallstones. I'm very nervous about having this done, can anybody tell me what to expect before and afterwards? The doctor explained the procedure to me but I like to hear from someone whose had this done.

Dear Malissa,
Gallballer surgery has become fairly routine. The only problem I've heard of --is that Gas is used to expand your abdoman so the doctor can see and if all the gas is not removed it can break down to a form of acid that can cause pain for several days. Tell your DOC that you heard this and for him to make sure all the gas he uses is removed. My son had this problem with his surgery and I told my doc about it and I had no such problem.
You'll be fine!!!
GOD BLESS----Harry
