I have had these awful sulfur-tasting burps every couple of days now for the past month. I had my gallbladder out on June 13, and since then this has been happening. It used to happen occasionally prior to that, but not with this frequency. The only thing that makes it go away is vomiting repeatedly, until I am just bringing up a yellowish liquid. I also feel very gassy with this, but no diarrhea. I've read that Giardia can cause sulfur burps, but I don't have diarrhea, so is that possible? This is literally ruining my life, as I can't make any plans to do anything because when this happens it is sickening and people around me can smell these awful burps. Does anyone have any ideas, please!?! I have an appointment to see a GI doc on Aug 2, but my PCP acts like he has never heard of such a thing. Thanks.
