Does anyone have any ideas what might cause severe abdominal bloatedness? The symptoms include painful swelling of the abdomen (which is worse at the end of the day compared to the start) and an increase in weight. The bloatedness usually seems to peak just before menstruation. Both a wheat-free diet and a regular exercise programme have been followed for several months with no change in symptoms. Is Crohn's disease a possibility? Any help would be much appreciated as depression is becoming quite a problem now.
I also suffer from abdominal bloatedness. It feels like I am carrying an inflated balloon full of water in my stomach (mostly in upper left quadrant). When I press on my stomach, it makes a terrible noise, kind of like a lot of fluid moving around in my stomach. Nothing passes through very quickly; consequently I suffer from constipation also. Can anyone give me advise on what I should do? My doctor doesn't seem to care.
