: I was just diagnosed with severe reflux that goes to my throat. I have been suffering with this for at least three years. I was also just diagnosed with food allergies and other allergies too. My problem now is that it feels like there is mucous in my throat all the time, escpecially after eating. I'm scared to eat anything and I even get reflux standing up.I thought acid reflux was acidic. What causes this mucous? Anyone know?
Hi there,
I can sympathise with you greatly, I have had this for 7 months now and it feels like sour mucous to me to.
It is consantly there, no matter what I eat or whether I lie down or stand up.
I have had all the medicines that stop stomach acid production and they haven't done anything and I feel really miserable and frustrated about the whole thing now :(
I was wondering how they tested you for food allergies?? Please get back and we could discuss things and maybe try and help each other, at least with support if nothing else. Take care.
If anyone reading has any advice please let us know as Im so fed up.
