Mary, From the limited informaton that you provided, it does not appear that you are going to be sucessful in an application for SSA benefits. But there is no charge to file the application, which you should do. Please also refer to the legal resources on my page - myfreeattorney.com - for helpful information. The books listed are great resources. In addition, I suggest that you consider applying for public assistance, at least to get insurance benefits to have the knee surgery you need. How did you hurt you knee, and is anyone liable for the injury?
