: device.Thank you for listening to me.
My daughter is almost 6 and was just diagnosed last week with encopresis. She has had months where she did not have "accidents" at all, yet it has just begun again. I am frustrated that none of the healthcare professionals I have talked to about this for the past two years didn't recognize it so we could have worked on a treatment. She has always been a very healthy eater, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, but she has frequently had problems with very large stools that I believe she holds because it hurts, which in turn causes the encopresis. Right now we are working on designated times to sit on th potty but unfortunately she usually ends up not being able to go when she's there and then going after she has left the bathroom.
I'm open to any advise!
