Hi, My name is Jeni. I'm 16 years old and have had encopresis since i can remember. I've gone to numerous doctors and have tried numerous treatments. I have been able to "beat this" many times but have always had relapses. The most affective teatment i've had is using mineral oil everyday. The only problem with that is if I forget to take it for a day I relapse. Right now I have relapsed after 1 month of "normal" bowel movements. Let me tell you it's an etreemely scary and painful thing so please do everything u can to comofrt an support your children with encopresis. I never realizd just how common this disease is in children even thought it's uncommon and unfortunate fo people my age. It is extremely important to keep on top of treatment, i'm living proof. If anyone has any suggestions on how i can permanently rid myself of ths awful problem please email me. Thank you for your time.
