I would check with your local or state Down Syndrome Parent organization as they may have money set aside for grants that pay for hearing aides. Another option is if you are near a state university and they have a speech and hearing department - many times you can order hearing aides at reduced cost. Another option is to write your local Knights of Columbus and ask if they would consider covering the cost from their annual Tootsie Roll Drive for the mentally handicap. Good luck!
