: Gabby will be 4 in afew weeks. She also takes the Nutravene D vitamins. She had an A V septal defect that was repared when she was nine months old. After she recovered from surgery, she made a lot of progress. She still has some delays but she is doing better then other downs kids whom we have met that are even older then she is.Unfortunatly,I can't remember exact dates but I will check with her physical theropist and get them to you.The only side effect that I could find was a reference to agression in teenage boys but that was not confermed.Gabby is potty trained, she knows her colors, shapes, alphabet and loves to sing and dance.

Angelica, Sounds like everything is going well for Gabby. Abby is stable right now. At birth she did have a large VSD (hole in her heart) they said would need to repaired by the time she was 9 months old but a miracle happened and they said her hole has almost totally closed up on its own. She has had some pneumonia's over the last 6 months. They are wondering if she is asperating when she is refluxing. All tests came back negative. They have recently become concerned with her immune system. They are saying that she has a very low immune system. If you don't mind me asking where do you live? We live in South Dakota. The town we live in is small and there are maybe 5 kids with DS. I will have to check into the med that you meantioned regarding the muscle tone. Am anxious to hear from you.
