When my friend's granddaughter was born with Down's Syndrome, my friend, a devout Christian, calmly said, "We're putting it all in God's hands."
She believes what the Bible says:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths"
