GENERALLY, there is no link that runs in the family...what I mean is, if your brother has DS, your chances of having a child with DS are pretty much the same as other women, unless your brother's DS is caused by a particular genetic configuration, which I believe is called translocation. You might want to go to a search engine and search for translocation and Down Syndrome. There are some wonderful sites with hard statistics. You might want to start at www.ds-health.com
